About Rilk Dacleu-Idrac

Rilk Dacleu-Idrac serves as Managing Director & CEO of Qatara Global as well as Group Head of Global Strategy for The QIA. In this capacity, he oversees the global operations overseas and handles structured finance and equity investments to grow and manage Qatar’s reserves. Thanks to these efforts, M. Dacleu-Idrac and QIA help ensuring financial safety for current and future generations living in the country and the long-term competitiveness of the Qatari economy.

Prior to joining QIA, Dacleu-Idrac spent three years as the Executive Vice-President of Strategy & Ventures at Mubadala Development Company in Abu Dhabi. During this time, he reported directly to the deputy Group CEO and was responsible for supporting the group various divisions with the goal of optimizing their performances in their respective sectors. M. Dacleu-Idrac was involved in various success notably the merger of UAE rivals Emal and Dubal which gave birth to one of the biggest smelter in GCC, Emirates Global Aluminun.

Dacleu-Idrac recieved a Bachelor’s in Economics from Yale and an MBA in Corporate Finance from the Haas School of Business in Berkeley, California. Alongside those, he is a Chartered Financial Analysit member of the CFA Institute since 2007.
